Option in Health Care Administration and InformaticsOption in Ancillary Health Management
The HSA program consists of two years of pre-HSA study (which includes general education and support courses) and two years of core HSA coursework. Once admitted into the program, students complete three professional practice experiences (PPEs) in a variety of health care organizations. These rotations provide students with observation, supervisory, and administrative experiences. Graduates of the Health Care Administration and Informatics option are eligible to take the national examination for certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
The Ancillary Health Management option is a progression program for individuals with a previously earned associate degree in a health-related field. Completion of this program will take 3-5 semesters, depending on the individual’s previous field of study.
